I think that a nerd can be an enthusiast of anything (I mean I've accused people of being music nerds and even sport nerds), but the most basic definition is typically lumped with the computer loving, video game playing crowd. It's an image that society's growing out of but I guess it still applies for now. I'm not so quick to put myself in a social group but I guess that "nerd" is relatively harmless. Fact of the matter is that I play a hell of a lot of video games and I have a mountains of comicbooks. I'm all for the idea of games being an art form by the way, but I don't know if it's something that's actually been achieved properly yet. Bioshock came close but it was probably more to do with the story than the game. But there's a ton of other free indie stuff you can find online like "Passage" which would probably actually be referred to as a "piece", rather than a game. So there's that. I have played two perfect games in my life: Ico, and Portal.
