Why have I joined this site? Same as all the others! To find another compatible nerd - of course! I am looking for a mate and I have joined several of the ‘passion’ sites dealing with things I am passionate about – hoping, to find that special someone… :) So, Me: Kind of nerdy, shy, homebody for sure! Love to fix and improve, make/leave things better than when I found them... I am very clean and neat, not the white glove test but lets keep the place nice... I like to relax with a wine cooler and watch TV, movie or game online (Ultima!) after a long day at work... Weekends - right now, at least one full day goes to homework for college... When class is not in session, I like hikes in green areas, beach... going places like the Queen Mary, March Air Force Base, Midway Museum and a multitude of other attractions... More? Someone that is into the Ren Faire, SciFi, Education, learning, growing... Tall, more or less fit for their age... Age - I get a lot of hits from younger woman, although I have to admit the fantasy is nice, I would think anyone under 30 would not be a match... Typically very different life experience views... Also, be local to Escondido - You cannot truly form a friendship, much less a relationship without person-to-person interaction... Ideal relationship? Trust - it is the most important characteristic in a relationship. Because to build trust you must have respect, honesty, caring and concern. From trust comes intimacy and love. Also important - I want someone that wants to be with me as much as I want to be with them. I am not talking attached at the hip, but, if really wanting to BE with your mate, if a really deep emotional and spiritual intimacy scares you, please, move on... Last, but not least good communication; a willingness to look at ourselves and the relationship knowing that the success of the relationship is directly related to our participation in it. Did I mention Sci-Fi???
