Who would win in a fight? Will the cube shaped Borg mothership win or would the spherical Death Star win? Which would win if they rammed each other at the same velocity? In that situation would the Borg be better off if they aimed a corner of their ship at the Death Star instead of a face of the ship?

Bonus question: Can you make a picture of the two of them exchanging fire?

`Death Star hands down. Since a) it has the firepower to destroy a planet. b) even if it got rammed it would be able to seal off those affected decks and still be a fully armed and operational battle station! c) Vader and the Emperor are on there. Force choke and force lightning against which the Borg cannot adapt to.

`I have to go with Death Star. But think how badass a Borg assimilated Death Star would be... best of both world right there. Like chocolate a peanut butter only with carnage and space travel instead of yummy candy goodness.

Everyone always underestimates the use of offensive teleporter technology - Having the Emperor and Darth Vader on board means nothing if the Borg just decide to teleport them into a piece of solid matter, or out into the recesses of deep space where the vaccum or cold would kill carbon-based life forms. Also, I always pictured the force choke working like the Jedi mind trick; The force makes you think your choking, ergo you do. Mind tricks won't work on the Borg (Though force lightning/lightsabers are still an option). There are only two Sith versus serveral thousand Borg boarders, so that nullifies the offense of force-powers.

Granted, the Death Star is a larger ship. However let us not forgot that a tiny X-wing took down the first Death Star. If both ships collided, I envision both ships going down, with a lot of escape pods jettisoning on both sides. In a shot-for-shot battle I throw open the possibility that the Borg have encountered other Imperial ships before getting to this one, and they may have already adapted a working cloaking system to avoid detection, or an effective shield to turn away the lasers. If the Borg come out of warp speed and catch the Death Star on the side where it cannot employ it's world-destroying laser, the borg ship has a chance. If it doesn't and the Death Star has enough time to lock on and fire, I don't think that any shielding system can repel a laser blast that powerful. As in most typical naval battles, it's all about speed and manuver.

Impossible. The Death Star would receive a fatal few blasts in seconds at the hands of the Borg cube. Lets take a look at the facts:

Death Star is as manueverable as a pregnant Dewlap. It has never demonstrated any practical ability to be 'agile'.

The Borg Cube can maneuver on the XYZ coordinates at will.

The Borg ship has multiple power blasters on all surfaces of the ship. Ask Loquitis.

The Death Star has a single large cannon on one side of the ship.

Regular cannons will have no effect on the Borg Cube. It will regenerate its lost surfaces and return fire.

Fighters and their blasters will have no effective combined power against the Borg ship.

Seven of Nine has arguably the largest alien breasts in the Romulan Star Empire.

`I'd say the Borg because, first, look at how long it takes for the Death Star to get into the line of fire while the Borg ships are highly maneuverable...
And anyway the Borg would want to assimilate, the Jedi mind-trick wouldn't work on them because they're a collective.

If the Death Star can destroy a whole planet, so as long as they get a clean shot they are in FTW. It would be interesting if the Borg assimilated Darth Vader.

The Death Star is 160km ion diameter(the size of a moon). The Borg mother ship is 29 cubic kilometers in size. That means its only 3+ kilometers on any given face. In matters of mass the Death Star clearly outclasses the Borg ship. However the Borg ship has self-regenerative capabilities, so as long as it wasn't completely destroyed it is still a viable threat. Velocity on the other hand. The Death Star has NO propulsion system! It enters hyperspace via 123 hyper-drives tied into a single navigational matrix. It is a sitting duck for the Borg. As for the Death Star's main weapon(which shouldn't matter since the question posed was based on a collision). It has to be charged first and the station has to rotate into a stable position which takes a very long time. Don't call yourself a nerd if you can't do the research people.

`Deathstar, kinda obvious there. It can blow up planets, a Borg Cube would be no match. Even on a collision, the Deathstar can withstand anything if it's fields are up. Or did you guys forget that Luke and them had to destroy those stations just to get the shields down? Then the Deathstar also has gun turrets all across it's surface, then you have the Tie-Fighters on board, including Darth Vader's. The Borg would be taking some serious damage trying to.
