When I first signed up to the Passions Network, I did what everyone else did. I put in a profile about myself to try and attract someone else's attention. I pretty much used all of the space allowed. Now I find myself tweaking my profiles to tell as much about myself as possible in the fewest words possible. Does anyone else do this? I mean, we are all here to try and find someone who is our perfect match, our soulmate. How does one do that in the space allowed? Just curious as to how other folks handle this.

I don't think it's possible to know everything about a person from a blurb. The hard part for me is trying to figure out exactly which parts of "the wonder that is me" do I want to put out there. I have no idea what to say to attract "the right kind of guy" (whoever that is). I also wonder if I'm not overlooking that special someone just because he's as clueless as me about what to put on his profile.

There's the rub. Trying to figure out what you think might be important to the right person for you. Still haven't figured it out since I still haven't found them!

It seems to me that it's best to use the less is more approach for profiles on dating sites. That way there is more mystery involved; you go well do they like this or that and it doesn't say it in their profile so you can ask and start up conversations. It's all about questions not answers. 42. Keep that in mind.

Telling too much in profile, can kill the easy conversation starters, so other people actually becomes harder to start to talk with you because they dont know what to ask because all is read in profile. I think best profile is short and some important facts that might be important even in beginning. And good profile needs also little bit personality, atleast if ya sitting down and waiting for others to come to talk with you.

`Plus, most people take things at face value which isn't necessarily wrong but that is a weakness with the internet.
