sex (or more specifically "chemistry"), along with communication, empathy, and shared interests are 4 pillars of a relationship. Without all four, eventually your relationship will collapse.

I say chemistry because it's something different when you are young versus when you are old. Once your hormones stop pushing you in a certain direction, you will still have lasting affection for someone who can ignite your passion.

If you are not concerned about your relationship lasting forever, then it's a simple matter of more out of the four making things keep going until you finally put weight on the missing leg. Even still, the general consensus seems to be that if there's no --- it's really a friendship. I'm willing to bet a far smaller percentage of men on this site are willing to be thought of as "only interested in sex", but I'd also be surprised to find a large percentage also being completely uninterested in the prospect. And girls? Well, they have their own set of conundrums and perceptions to tackle don't they?

`Sex is --- it's just good fun. To me it doesnt really matter who with as long as im attracted to them and i'm quite happy for it to be a one night thing. Yes of course always use protection and get routine checks every few months to make sure your not going wrong somewhere but if I'm sensible about it then theres no reason why i shouldnt want to have --- with pretty much anyone that crosses my path xD

I believe that --- is an essential part of any romantic relationship. Why would you want to be with someone you don't have chemistry with? But it can't be the only thing tying two people together. I'm definitely part of the group that believes --- should only be had between people who have some degree of affection or love for each other.

I think --- is important in a relationship, but friendship is just as important. Without friendship, --- is just kind of hollow and empty.
