I love anything by Haruki Murakami and Herman Hess, particularly Wind Up Bird Chronicle and Siddhartha. A book that I really enjoyed that wasn't written by either is The Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

It's very rare for me to pick up anything that isn't fantasy fiction, but here are my top picks:
The Wheel of Time Series - Robert Jordan (R.I.P.)
The Great Book of Amber - Roger Zelazny (R.I.P.)
Acacia - David Anthony Durham
The Demonwar Series (And anything else that wasn't done under contract to Wizards of the Coast, or TSR...) - R.A. Salvatore
The Memory, Sorrow, Thorn series - Tad Williams
The Sherlock Holmes Mysteries - Sir Arthur Connan Doyle
A Book of Five Rings - Myamoto Musashi (Been ages since I've read that one...)
The Vampire Chronicles - Ann Rice
That's all I can list for now without going through my entire collection.
-Ryan
-Stay safe, carry ALWAYS, and when the need is greatest, a 1911 is faster than 911. |

.I would like to try those some day. Would remind me of the days of old when people just had radio to listen to as they sat around with family, listening. |

I also like to ritualistically burn the entire works of Ayn Rand on occasion.

Have Space Suit- Will Travel by Robert A. Heinlein
Chocky by John Wyndham
