This is a question I was able to ask Ray Bradbury, Ray Harryhausen and Forrest J. Ackerman (the man who coined the phrase "Sci Fi") at the 2005 San Diego Comic Con, and I am interested in your responses.
Obviously, many things that are science fact now were science fiction 50 or 60 years ago. What science fiction would you all like to see become science fact in your lifetime?
"The multiplying villainies of nature do swarm upon him. And fortune on his damned quarrel smiling, showed like a rebel's whore. But all's too weak: for brave MacBeth -well he deserves that name- disdaining fortune with his brandish'd steel, which smoked with execution. Like valor's minion, carved out his path, 'til he fac'd the slave, which he ne'er shook hands with, nor bade farewell to." |

I think that the Replicator from Star Treck could save humanity. With that technology we could convert the matter that forms pollution into food for the starving masses of the world.

Flying car = hovering car (not on the market but does exist
Robot to do chores = err one of those no hands vacuums
teleportation device = uhh not invented yet
living on the moon = they are working on that buy your land plot now! uhh wait no one owns the moon so how can you buy it?

Lightsabers.
Yeah, I said it. I want a freakin' lightsaber! Not one of those Sith double-bladed ones (Because a Jedi uses the force for defense; Never for attack...). The problem is that to properly construct one, you must be in tune with the force, so until that happens...
On a more serious note, lameboymatt's question got me thinking, so I had to look up the issue online at space.com. The official answer is no, the U.S. does not own the Moon. There's a 1967 Outer-space treaty which prohibits nations from owning the Moon or any other celestial bodies. The treaty does not apply to private citizens, however, which is why you have people who actually sell you deeds to plots of the lunar surface; They're banking on a legal-grey area that will give them leverage when the issue comes up later (It's still a scam IMHO...). There IS a 1979 Moon treaty prohibiting private indviduals from owning the Moon, but it hasn't actually been signed by any space-faring nations. The general consensus of the various space agencies is that legislation will probably not be drafted concerning property-rights for the Moon until private industries can actually reach it, and that is decades off, experts say.
Meanwhile, I'm very glad lameboymatt brought that question up, because I just learned something new and interesting which I might have missed out on, otherwise...

`I would want an electric blender so that I can bring pineapples to life. I would also want a robot lamb then I could fight other animals.

`Have you ever read physics of the impossible? I have a feeling that most of science fiction will eventually become science fact. Time travel / teleportation/ light sabers / invisibility cloak / hyperspace travel / clones / machine integration with humans / etc...
