Anyone check out Dark Horse's Falling Skies? This is more of a webcomic than a traditional print comic(though I do have a hard copy of the first issue), but it is of excellent quality.
It is written by longtime Dark Horse cohort, Mark Verheiden (Aliens Vs. Predator, My Name Is Bruce), the series storyboards the harrowing events of an alien invasion, which places Tom Mason, and his three sons, Hal, Ben and Matt in a struggle to survive as they fight back against the aliens.
After the attack, the aliens Ben. Determined to find his missing son, Tom joins 2nd Mass, a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. However, supplies are running low, and Tom must locate an old friend to equip his team, and ensure the human race will persevere!
I am a big fan of Sci Fi(I read it constantly) and comics and where the two meet semi-realistically is my favorite type of fiction. I work for the marketing team that is covering this campaign for Dark Horse and TNT, and I have a hard copy of issue #1 sitting on my desk as we speak

Anyone have a chance to check this out? I have followed the webcomic in the past months as I mentioned in another thread, and the series has proven to be a great successor to the narratives of that series.
It airs Sundays on TNT @9/8, and is now up to it's 6th episode. The buildup from that, as well as the fact that the social media marketing company I work for does some of the campaigning for the series for TNT, had me fairly impatient for it's debut a few weeks back.
The characters are fun, Pope is a great antihero/anarchist/ex-con. The traumatized and hard-luck Margaret is also a great if bewildering character. I also like Noah Wyle's Tom Mason. His bookish style is pretty awesome, if interestingly jarring considering that they are in a survival situation against tremendous odds.
The curative capabilities to the harness, despite it's enslaving nature seems to be what will develop into a major plot point as the series progresses.
Let's use this space on Talk About, to discuss the series as it progresses ep to ep. I don't think spoilers are a big deal, but if people prefer no spoilers we can go without.
Here is the show's website for those seeking more info:
