I've been on this site quite a while, since at least last year. I've talked to a couple of people on this site, and even met a woman offline around Halloween. For quite a while, we got along well, and were getting fairly close. But when we met, all of a sudden, she just seemed to act as if we hadn't been talking long. It was like she just seemed to think meeting someone offline brought on a new person, but I'd been honest with her the whole time, so I felt kind of sad after that night. Not only that, but she did start calling other guys "hot" a lot, and that was something she hadn't even done for me. I understand jealousy can be healthy in a relationship, but she was going a little far with it. I also figured out she absolutely doesn't want kids (I do want kids, and I wouldn't force anyone into that who didn't want to), and I figured, with all of this mixed together, it wasn't worth continuing.
But it wasn't quite over. She wanted to stay friends because she still liked me enough, but a couple of weeks later, I asked her a question about something that didn't quite seem right, and she texted (why texted I don't know) back saying, "Never contact me again." I don't really know why, but after that I figured even more so that she wasn't even worth talking to any more anyway.
Altogether, I find this particular situation strange. I can normally somewhat figure out what's behind this kind of behavior, but I can't put my finger on it this time. Anyone experience anything similar?

I actually had something really similar happen with a girl I was talking to from a game I play. I never met her, though we talked for several months, and we were planning on meeting up in a week or two. We talked on the phone a lot, and seemed to get along really well. All of the sudden, one day we were txting back and forth, and I said something completely normal and all I got back was '---- u'. She then stopped responding to my txts and calls, then the next day when I called her phone was shut off. It took several days before she contacted me through email, saying she was on a friend's computer, and her smartphone was acting up, but that she didn't think meeting up was a good idea. I didn't pressure her, there was no reason to, and I still don't have any idea what I did. The only conclusion I came to, which seems to fit your situation as well, would be that she actually already had a boyfriend, and he had picked up her phone, sent '---- u' or in your case, 'never contact me again', and then had her phone shut off. I still don't know for sure, but it seems to fit. A girl like that isn't worth our time anyways. It was nothing we did, I hope I helped ease your mind a bit. :)

`I met someone on this site. The relationship was good, but ended due to various time constraints and issues that I won't enumerate here.
I think love is possible if you've got your head on straight - people approach online dating like it's different from real life, but it's really not.
