Hello hello,

I've been about this site for a little while, but never really wandered over into the forums. I could get used to it here I think - maybe hang up some curtains with a delicious Victorian pattern and establish a hearty garden of cacti. Yes, I'd be right at home.

I'm an art student who thoroughly enjoys art but can't envision dedicating the entirety of my life/self to it. In fact, despite having many interests, I lack any all-consuming passions or fandoms - makes me feel lacking in my nerdiness and short of a group of peers I can instantly connect with over a niche love.

I excel at giving a damn, and truly care about those around me. I shift between social circles, but I've always found nerd to be the most sincere, decent, and interesting bunch.

`I don't know why you say goodbye...

Kudos, the world lacks truly considerate people. I'd have to go with Mr. Miyagi decking, fountains and a pergola. I concur nerds, the great anti-click, where you could be into anything and find acceptance, but I hear ya. Nerdiness is only one of my interests, and I found myself often falling between the cracks of various groups. Like last night, I went out to a new sushi restaurant in the area with some friends, then on to a local bluesy rock concert, scoped out the details on an upcoming Rocky Horror show well cuz Halloween rocks , then home to play me some KoTOR.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but I'm always curious about new and different places to travel to, my last being Jamaica. What's Ontario like?

`A Million bonus points for referencing the beatles!

And Halloween is truly the greatest of the holidays.

As far as Ontario goes... its gorgeous at the moment: cool fall nights and warm sunny days. There's large skies with masses of interestingly shaped clouds above rolling hills. Toronto is about as urban as Canada gets - with arguably the fastest pace of life in the country, and a remarkably diverse population. The satellite towns spreading out from it are sprawling suburbs and a little boring, but I love the our mixed forests.

Won't be too great here shortly though - our winters are mild but notoriously gray and gloomy.

Oh, I don't know about that...The last time I was in Vancouver, it seemed very cosmopolitan. Even the surounding metro area wasn't that bad, with the exception of White Rock (I saw the white rock, and was not impressed.) Of course, I also visited in the summer when there was still plenty of good weather.

`Ha I road tripped from Halifax from Halifax to Edmonton. It kills me that I never made it to Vancouver. I never said Toronto was -the- urban place in Canada. Montreal is pretty awesome too.

`Sounds like you get 'bout the same winters as we do in New England, but makes for good times to watch movies with a wood stove going. Or to spoil my niece cuz well she's got mind control powers. Roadtrip-wise I've done a whole stretch from Niagara Falls straight down to Florida, and everything in between. Ironically, probably the best place in the trip was called Dismal Falls in Virginia. Nothing like jumping off a waterfall. :D
