I loves me some nerds and geeks, but not really dorks (they're cool, though). Just holler at me if you want to strike something up. *sings* Strike up the band and watch the fireflies dance, the silver moon sparkling. So kiss me. Sorry, just being a dork!

I just joined this website, and it seems that people are shy to reply. There aren't many postings in the other forums. There are plenty of views. Here's my story. I'm a tutor for a community college, and one of my students asked for private tutoring. She told me that I'm a nerd and that I should seek out other nerds.
I felt somewhat offended, but should I be : After all, I studied physics in college and graduate school, wear glasses, am socially inept, studious, and so on. I was hoping here I could be a nerd and be proud. |

I may not look like a nerd/geek at first glance, but I am proud to be one!
