So What Make you a nerd

-I collect Star Wars figures, but almost exclusively the denizens of Jabba the Hutt's palace.

-I'm familiar with all 480+ pokemon.

-I go to an anime convention every year despite a fairly casual interest in anime. I just love cartoons and video games in general.

-My home is decorated for Halloween year-round, as I was born on it.

-My favorite animals are fleas, leeches, hagfish, dumbo squid and tardigrades.

-I write, voice and animate flash cartoons.

-I have never drank, smoked, sustained a serious injury, needed dental work, been pulled over or pretty much anything vaguely daring. I'm just too timid and too much a homebody.

-I've collected Dungeons and Dragons monster manuals (and fiend folios, and monstrous compendiums, etc. etc.) since I was a young child but played the game for the first time only a year ago.

-I never tried pizza until two years ago, because my appetite is easily discouraged by messy-looking foods.

-I keep various exotic species of cockroach as pets.

-I could go on and on with progressively sadder things.

even though i don't look like the typical nerd. i'm a nerd becasue i am an anime fangirl. i love masterpiece theater on pbs. i also happen to love Russian literature. another thing is that i'm an English Major. i love comic book hero's batman, superman, spiderman are my personal faves. i could give other examples but i think this will do

well like most here i love reading books, but not just comics anything that plays with my sense of reality.my biggest nerdphobia is to see someone tear or rip my artwork.arts my life and one day i wanna do films like hayao miyazaki my idol now he's what i call genius!!

- I use movie-quotes in regular conversation;
- I've read (translated) the LotR six times by age 10;
- the only sports I like watching are Sumo and 'Strongest Man';
- I watch The Simpsons religiously since 1990, and empathize with all the characters;
- I've collected (Marvel) comic books since +/- 1985;
- my brother and I used to make our own toys and boardgames (mostly chutes & ladders type variants) as kids;
- my first encounter with classical music was by "Amadeus";
- I have more 'unpainted lead' than I could possibly paint by myself;
- my Weird Al CD-collection is near-complete;
- my RPG-collection is way too large for any sane human being, especially considering I haven't gamed on a regular basis since university;
- even after 9 years people at the gym still look as if I've escaped from some laboratory because of my glasses;
- I always went to the review of tests afterwards, even if I had scored a 95% correct score;
- I used to correct lecturers when they told nonesense;
- I have a whole room dedicated to 'crap you don't need';
- I ran the RPG-booth at the Dutch Games Spectacular for several years even though it only costed me money, time and health - and still think it was a good thing to do
- It's the Little Things that drive me wild

`I LARP on sundays (it's become a religeon in my group) I look up vs topics of some of my favorite characters just to see who people think would win (my favorites are pairing up Brock Samson against anyone, and lately, Kingdom Hearts characters as well) when I watch anything, I research as much as I can about it (star wars being my biggest research project, and than it's a tie between Kingdom Hearts and Fullmetal Alchemist) I have torrents of final fantasy games on my computer. I built my own tower. I like every single star wars movie (because hey, every single one is good in some way or another) I have a pirate sword, pirate clothes, and I went to an anime convention dressed as a pirate (it was crappy, but oh well) I can get into heated discussions on why star wars is better than star trek (that's right, bring on the hate mail) and so on and so forth (because I just got lazy and don't feel like trying to remember other reasons why.)
