Have Nerf gun, will travel... I'm definitely more "geeky" than "nerdy". I'm a professional machinist by trade, but I occasionally make props and replicas as a hobby (rayguns, swords, etc). I also play video games (XBOX, PS3), but no online gaming - so you won't have to compete with the rest of the internet for my attention.

I'm a huge movie buff, but my DVD collection is rather small. I prefer my news from The Daily Show.

I love stand-up comedy, and comedy in general, and I'm constantly laughing - either at a show I'm watching or from listening to a podcast. My sense of humor is broad; from dry, to dark, to edgy - it's all good. Funny is funny.

I've been to Japan, and I speak Japanese fairly well, but oddly enough, I don't like sushi.

My music mainstays are classic rock, soundtracks and Japanese pop (J-pop).

Time with my friends is important to me, and I spend every other weekend gaming with them (RPGs, board games, card games, etc.). The games are fairly regular, but that doesn't mean we don't take a break once in a while.

I have dog and he's my good buddy. I get along with most fuzzy critters.

I'm typically a relaxed easy-going person. I'm also a "fixer". People say "don't sweat the small stuff", but I DO sweat the small stuff because the small stuff can actually be fixed!! It's the big stuff that I accept with resignation (obviously one person can’t fix the economy or the environment, or even the traffic lights, but they can turn a screw or drive a nail - which I usually end up doing).

I'm not the type to "dress up". Ever... Casual dress is the order of the day, every day.

I was in a long marriage (22 years), so I know I can do the "long term" thing. I'm not one of those people that "needs" to be in a relationship, but if we have that spark... well, anything is possible. I'm not looking to become someone's "everything", but I wouldn't mind being someone's "something". Where we take that is up to us.
