First and foremost, I'm an extremely extroverted geek. I play video games, primarily World of Warcraft lately. My favorite genres are JRPGs (Final Fantasy, etc), Shooters (not FPSs, but stuff like R-Type, Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun), SRPGs, and skate games.

I went to culinary school to be a pastry chef. Actually, a chocolatier. I try to make a batch of bon-bons or truffles at least once a month. Occasionally I throw a dessert party. No, I don't do this for a living, yet.

I enjoy urban art (I subscribe to Juxtapoz, and occasionally pick up Hi Fructose and Beautiful/Decay). I like to pretend I'm an artist at times and make pop-up cards for people. I like to doodle on napkins. I enjoy urban vinyl, but am mostly limited to stuff like dunnies.

Musically, I'm really into the electro and industrial scenes. My heart is in garage punk, but I love to dance and it's a lot easier (and more fun) to just get sweaty on a dance floor to ebm and disco. My recent playlists have included Crystal Castles, Hypnoskull, and the new De/Vision. Punk-wise, I think I'm behind the game a bit and have been stuck on Marked Men, The Clorox Girls, and Teengenerate.

I read much more than the average person. Predictably, it's mostly sci-fi and urban fantasy style stuff, or something tech-related.

I'm also a musician. I played guitar for a garage punk band in my hometown, Memphis, TN and am currently dabbling in electronic stuff. It does not fare well.

Why I'm here: I have no idea where all the nerd girls are in Los Angeles. Then again, I don't hang out in comic shops or go to cons (but that may change soon). Most of the girls I meet are interesting, but more into fancy cars, Designer Jeans, and $1000 purses than things I find interesting. I want to meet a girl who has her own geeky interests, who has a great sense of humor and doesn't take life so seriously. Someone I can say "hey, let's go watch Rocky Horror at the Nu-Art!" without eyes rolling.
