Are you curious how the world works? Do you enjoy things with more functionality, possibilities, and customization?
I do. I wish I knew more people who do. It's always a pleasure to hear an explanation of a concept or theory from some one who is passionate about it. Fortunately I have pretty wide scientific interests, though of course I appreciate more generalized discussion. My favorite topics include computer science (linux,unix, operating system design, programming methodology, system architecture), physics ( conceptual, at the layman's level I'm suitably educated), electronics ( much like physics, except I have more 'hands on'/'try and see' experience)
Don't get the wrong picture from those interests, I like most any science including Chemistry, Biology, even Psychology. I also like history, given it has some solid evidence behind it, and it is geared more towards socioeconomic and technological evolution than towards trivia.
