Hello ... I'm a small, harmless but ruthlessly cunning and intelligent man who has incredible diffuculy obtaining the time of day on other dating sites. So, here I am.

I'm not a big partier, prefering usually to find something quiet and private than your average club or bar. Activities that excite me include, but are not limited to: hiking excursions; trips to museums, zoos, art galleries, and similar venues that combine fun and relaxation with a degree of education; camping trips; amusement parks; travel in general (tropics prefered); baseball games; nice dinners, lunches, and breakfasts.

I'm a big fan of science fiction, including Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Stargate series, etc. I'm also a big history buff, particularly classical history, but anything will do. My most recent reading has been historical, and I'm almost guaranteed, upon seeing a movie or show based on history, to either enjoy it or brutally criticize it (depending on what I think of its accuracy).

I'm divorced and have been alone for more than 2 years. I'm looking, eventually, to fall in love and get married, and I would like to have a family ... but that's eventually, so don't worry, I won't propose on the first date. For right now, I just want to be with someone that enjoys my presence, as i enjoy hers, and who can make me happy.
