I can recite "MST3K" verbatim. That's a nerd! I work in a group home with seven developmentally disabled adults. Since I started this job, I've really grown as a person. I'm far more sensitive to people's feelings now, and I have a much stronger sense of empathy and compassion. I never thought that what I did for a living could make me a finer human being, but this job has done exactly that for me!

For 18 years, I was a DJ at a college radio station. I hosted a music show called "The Soul Express," and a political talk show called "Naked Lunch Radio." At different times, I also ran the production and public affairs departments.

I joined a gym in late 2010 and work out 5-6 times a week. So far, I've dropped 22 pounds and hope to be down to my proper weight by the end of the year.

I have a huge, and very eclectic, record and CD library that I've been building up since age 13. My favorite music is 1960s and '70s soul, but my tastes are quite literally all over the map. I'm willing to listen to anything once!

I go to the movies a lot and enjoy current Hollywood hits, classic cinema, foreign films (subtitled, not dubbed), and the more cerebral art-house fare. Luckily, the Hartford area offers all of that!

I have a silly sense of humor, which can lead people to believe that I don't take things seriously. In reality, though, I can be very serious when a situation calls for it.

Basically, I'm a down-to-earth person. I often wear jeans and a T-shirt, and would much rather be on the floor playing with a baby or a dog than at some trendy nightclub with blinding strobe lights, painfully loud music and obscenely expensive drinks. I did a lot of partying in my 20s and early 30s and had a lot of drama in my life, but I outgrew all that. I lead a very quiet life now and I like it that way!

I currently live in Willimantic but am relocating to Manchester in the summer of 2011.

Finally: I don't photograph that well, but I'm really kinda cute!
