Quirky, Eccentric, and Wierd...but Fun I'm definetly not typical when you'd think of guys, or even nerds, geeks, dorks, ect. I have a huge amount of hobbies. Outdoor hobbies include paintballing, frisbee golf, going to renn fairs, going to sporting events, mostly baseball and soccer. coookouts with friends, ski trips and travel when I can manage it. Indoors I like to play laser tag, ski ball, paint miniature figurines, play DnD, video and computer games, watch movies, or hang out with friends doing whatever.
Not really sure if I fit into a nerdy or geeky catagory though, I don't really read books, it's been years since I finished one, I don't blog, use twitter, tend to avoid wikipedia, and don't use cell phones.
Something about my is definetly wierd though, wierd enough that I don't think I'm cut out for conventional dating sites. I'd like to learn an instrument, but where everyone else would be content with a regular guitar, I feel compelled to learn the electric banjo, simply because they exist and I can't think of anyone who plays them. I'd like to learn how to make leather and metal medieval armor, hopefully designes that incorporate off the wall adds like miniaturized fog machines, stereo equipment and LED lighting. I'd like to find a group of medieval combat enthusiasts to join up with and do some fighting with, enjoy some foam sword or spear goodness. I'm just one off the wall guy who likes Voltron and Invader Zim too much, watches Mel Brooks films, enjoys Monty Python's skit work more than their movies, owns real swords, watches Red Vs. Blue, and only tends to watch anime's after their hype has worn off. I also follow a couple of web comics, all of my current comic boook knowledge is second hand, but I do enjoy comics enough to not like most of the Comic book movies that Marvel puts out. At least DC likes their characters enough to not change them too much, but Marvel has had some seriously crapppy movies. Enjoyed transformers, hated G.I.Joe.
