I don't make much money but am happy. I like and write poetry although it's unlikely that I would ever be published. I love talking (but am not much of a wild party person). I am a romantic at heart. I like to talk, read (fiction, history, poetry), walk, hike (I have backpacked the Grand Canyon), museums, and Japanese Gardens. Active hobbies are Anime, Model Trains and Plastic Models. I have a BS in Biology with significant extra course work in Art, History, and Chemistry. I have a MS in Geology with a Thesis in Paleontology. I had a 20 year career in geology but now work happily (but some odd hours) in a hobby shop. Yes, I am a nerd, but there has got to be soul mate out there for me somewhere. Those of you ladies looking for a Brad Pitt clone should run away! My idea of a great evening is one spent with friends. My 24 year old daughter lives with me. She is finishing a degree in computer animation. We share an interest in art, movies, and Anime. We have two sweetie pie cats and a dog. I am looking for someone that will let me enjoy them just the way they are and are willing to enjoy me just the way I am. We all have baggage. Not an issue. I want to meet someone who is comfortable with who they are, not who they were. I have my eccentricities, you can have yours.
