I prefer the term 'geek' I'm down-to-earth, kind, considerate and decent to people. I'm an old-fashioned romantic and chivalrous with it. I've also got quite a dry sense of humour.

I enjoy my own space and like a balance of 'me' time and other people time, but I also like companionship.

I play guitar, write songs, go for walks/cycles, see friends, go to gigs and festivals, go out for meals/drinks, etc, watch movies, paint, read books/comics, play videogames...and I quite like city breaks and seeing museums, galleries, architecture etc when I can.

I do love movies, from world cinema and classics to ridiculously silly action flicks. TV-wise I love 30 Rock, Family Guy, Firefly, and tons more.

Music is one of my greatest loves, so when not playing guitar, music kind of follows me through my day. I've got quite diverse tastes and I'm quite passionate about the bands I like. I will try any music onc, and if I like it, then I like it. Anything from ambient electronic to bludgeoning metal, from classical to blues, from jazz to hip-hop, indie and all the rest. I probably couldn't live without music to be honest. Current favourites are Autolux, Cancer Bats, Caribou and the almighty Iron & Wine.

There are so many geeky things I like, it's hard to find time to fit them all in. Shelves of comics and graphic novels have to compete with Xbox and PS3 games, and both of those have to compete with music!

I also have a few select action figures but probably best not to go into those...

I'm not going to describe in detail hundreds of requirements I seek - I think life is a bit more fun when you simply let things happen and don't try to dictate everything to people...
