More than just a Gamer I'm more geek than nerd, I think. I enjoy all types of movies from classic animated Disney films to terrible B-level horror to absurd comedies and most everything in between. I've a soft spot for the Sci-Fi genre, both in literature and in visual media. I don't watch a lot of Anime, but when I do I like to watch the whole series such as Evangelion, Gundam Wing, and Naruto. Still need to see Avatar: The Last Airbender, as it does look kinda cool.
I play RPG's with a group of friends on a regular basis, and I do, in fact, believe that my d10's hate me. But that's ok, it's a mutual love-hate relationship. I also build and paint miniature figures periodically, and though it's not that detailed I do enjoy it regardless. Neck gets a bit stiff if I go at it too long, though.
But much as I enjoy staying at home and taking it easy, I also like going out and doing stuff. I play in low-level recreational hockey leagues, both roller and ice, and during the summer make trips out to Santa Cruz to boogie-board. Small favors I can still fit into my wetsuit. I also enjoy shooting pool, bowling, and even minigolf. The key to minigolf is the play the Right Way: don't keep score and cheating is highly encouraged.
'm looking for someone who doesn't mind that I'm into sci, and can accept, and hopefully be the same, that I'm both a stay-at-home geek and a go-out-and-do-stuff kind of guy. Someone who thinks cuddling under a blanket is a great way to weather a storm and that jumping into waves at the beach is a fun way to spend a beautiful day. Someone who is their own person, and doesn't need to cling to me or have us be around each other all the time, but is just as glad to see me as I am to see them.A spark of whimsical insanity tempered by solid common sense, as well as part sweet and part cynic.
