A nerd is someone highly passionate in some topic who actively seeks opportunities to participate in it. I'm a space nerd. I am a huge fan of anything space (of the non-fiction variety)-- space travel, astronomy, astrophysics, space history, etc. Not a big sci-fi fan. If you also like space, big plus! I'm a college student double majoring in physics and applied math. Hobbies include astronomical observing, lots and lots of reading about science, space, and history, bagpiping (been piping for about 14 years), guitar playing (not very good at that one), hiking/backpacking/camping, working on space flight-related projects with a small dedicated club I started at my college. Starting to do some volunteer work and also starting flying lessons toward a private pilot's license. Currently living with parents until I graduate. Own a decent car I bought new. Have several part-time jobs including tutoring, science extracurricular activities for elementary school children, astronomy assistant for college professor, physics-related internship, and bagpiping for special occasions. I like baseball and I'm starting to like ice hockey, though I don't know much about it. Aspirations are to get a commission in the Air Force, get at least a master's degree in aerospace engineering, and work for NASA or in the private space sector, preferably in manned space flight. I also want to through-hike the entire Appalachian Trail. I have a little weight to lose, but I am in the process of losing it, which has been successful thus far and I'm feeling great! I love nature. I prefer the mountains to the coast, though I live at the coast (Wilmington, NC). I'm Catholic. Looking for a woman my age, give or take a few years, hopefully reasonably close geographically. I'm open to any race and nationality. Christians, especially Catholics, are a plus, but not a requirement. If you like space, engineering, or physics, that's a big plus. Open to most body types. Will want kids eventually. I believe in exclusivity. Looking for a kind-hearted woman I can depend on for companionship, and who can expect the same from me.
