I've traveled to several countries during the 6 years I spent in the Navy and lived in N. Ireland for 9 months as an exchange student when I was in college after that. After graduating from Kent State University with a degree in physics, I moved to California in '96 and found work as a system administrator. After working in industry for a number of years and getting laid off during the dotcom bust I ended up working as a manager of the computer labs for an Engineering School. I'm a hard working responsible person who takes care of business but also enjoys having fun when there is time. I spend some of my free time exercising regularly; jogging on my treadmill and some weight lifting. Lately I've been working on a low fat diet and in the process attempting to learn how to cook. I love to watch movies and have a large DVD collection. I'm a science fiction fan but I do watch other genres. I recently saw Titanic, a great movie. I like going to festivals, reading at co ffee shops, currently reading "Deception Point", and dancing at clubs or bars on occasion. I like a variety of different music from rock to reggae, some hip-hop but I really love 80s rock especially from the earlier 80s. I've been told I'm a very good listener however I may seem quiet until I get to know you better. My female friends keep telling me they are surprised I haven't married yet but I guess I just haven't found the right girl yet.
