Employed, straight, and single. Okay, I should start by getting the nerdiest thing about me out, up front: I'm an IT professional with a stubborn passion for pencil & dice role-playing games. There. I said it. I also have a bad habit of correcting other people's math and grammar, but I'm trying to quit (I'm told it's rude). It got me a job once, though. I am an avid reader and a fan of the English language. My favorites are sci-fi and fantasy novels, especially Robert Heinlein and Robert Jordan, but I also like biographies about people who were so exceptional that they seem too good to be true. Lately, however, I have only had time to listen to audiobooks. That still counts as "reading", right? I have a rather large movie collection, spanning many decades and genres, despite the fact that I frequently give them away to friends who haven't seen something-or-other yet (I do the same thing with books). The only foods I cook well are all Mexican dishes. I have vacationed in four other countries so far. I know several close-up magic tricks. And I have a life-size Yoda in one closet. Personality-wise... I've been told I'm funny. It's usually on purpose. I try to be a good listener, and I can usually empathize well, even changing the mood of those around me, but I don't get excited easily. All things are possible, and the only constant is change, so why make a fuss when changes happen? Guide what you can and adapt to the rest, but always try to leave the places you go (and the people you meet) better than how you found them.
