computer nerd / gamer i hate these things... i don't really think these self descriptions are accurate. the way a person idealizes themselves isn't necessarily the same way the world about them perceives them.

i think right now i'm just looking for some intellectually stimulating conversation. dating might be a bit beyond my reach at the moment. i'm experiencing a bit of wide-spread disloyalty in the people around me at the moment, so i'm a bit weary.

so, some conversation starters: i'm definitely a nerd, i enjoy talking about anything from technology, to politics, to theoretical sciences, to history, to scifi, to games, etc.

a bit about me:
i'm a centrist, though my political views lean more right than left.
i play world of warcraft a bit too much, but i'd rather spend a fun time with some friends who understand the concept of loyalty, which seems to be in short supply lately.
i hate going to bars, clubs, raves etc, but i love to play pool, or see a good local band.
i love music. others would call my taste in music limited. i describe it as refined. the music i like, i like for specific reasons. the music i dislike, i dislike for specific reasons.
i served four years in the coast guard, working on electronics (radar, radio, etc.) and now i'm working on getting my CompTIA A+ certifications, with plans to follow it up with other certs. I love computers, and i like to follow the innovations going on with microprocessors. AMD Intel
I follow lots of scifi, but i don't go to conventions.
my best friend / room mate is a lesbian.
i've played D&D, but i never dressed up for it.
i like to think of myself as articulate.
i am neither atheist nor religious.
