Protogeek, 47

I'm a sociable nerd/geek who is looking for a girl sharing similar interests. On a typical Friday night I'll be doing something with a small group of friends, either playing board games, going to see a band play, going to see a movie or at somebody's house watching DVDs, going to a comedy club, or at a party. I'll go into clubs, but they're typically not my thing, so I don't usually go unless there's a particular reason (i.e. a band I want to see). I'm into comic books, video games, and I have to admit that I play D&D so if that's too geeky for you then you'd best move along. I love watching TV series on DVD like Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, LOST, Dexter, Firefly, Buffy/Angel, etc, preferably with a small group so we can all share the experience.

I write for a humor website, where I get paid to be funny, but unfortunately it's not enough money to quit my day job and live off of. Still, it's not a bad deal making money doing something I truly enjoy.

I'm into all kinds of music, everything from indie to rap to some country (Johnny Cash!). I have a very wide range of tastes, but I hate most of what they play on the radio.

I'm looking for a fun woman with a good sense of humor, who isn't afraid to be passionate or nerdy about what interests her. Honesty and openness are important to me, and hopefully I could find someone who shares my interests so that I can hang out with her sharing the things that we both enjoy together (of course some personal space is necessary too). Someone who gets as excited about movies as I do, and who shares my passion for (and hopefully my taste in) music. Someone who knows what she wants but isn't stubborn enough to not give something a second chance. Someone who can teach me a few things about life, and can learn something from me as well.
