Unconventional nerd? I am trying really hard to make this a coherent profile, and not just a list of my attributes/desired attributes of a match. Hopefully I can pull it off and I don't resort to rambling about how easygoing I am (very).

I am a coal miner by trade and I'm pretty darn happy about it. Every day I get paid to work with a great bunch of guys and play with really big machines. What's not to like about that? Only one thing that I can think of actually, I work on rotating shifts. That means I am either getting up at 4 a.m. or going to bed at that time, and it switches every two weeks. That is probably something you should be able to at least tolerate.

In my free time some of the things I like to do are to go to the movies, read books, play video games and play cards with friends. If I'm going to head out on the town, the CWE is always fun. It has some great restaurants and bars.

I would describe myself as neither an optimist nor a pessimist, just a realist. I think that if life gives you lemons, you don't make lemonade because life did not also give you water and sugar. Therefore when life give you lemons, you have to eat the lemons, but you can be thankful that you won't be contracting scurvy.

Despite my desire to avoid it, this last part will resemble a list. This is the section of the profile that says why I'm here. I'm here to find someone to have fun in life with. I would like to find someone to talk with about that funny thing that happened at work.

You're probably thinking "great, but none of that really qualifies for this site." Well, one thing that qualifies me is my love of video games, especially Eve Online. I am also a fan of almost all science fiction and some fantasy whether it is written or presented visually. I also prefer the company of women who have similar interests and have a higher intellect.
