Smart, fun and romantic I'm very ambitious and driven, but typically quite laid-back in my personal life.

I've lived all over the country including Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois, California, and North and South Carolina. So, I guess in terms of trying to define me geographically, I'm a bit of a mutt!

While I do enjoy my work and take it very seriously and take great pride in it, I will never let it control my life, having my personal time away from work is very important to me.

I enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors, given good weather of course, whether it's playing sports, being on the beach or the lake, camping, going to a sporting event, skiing, just enjoying a beer with a good friend, being outside is a joy to me.

I enjoy listening to most any music from country to rock to classical. My favorite TV shows include fictional crime investigation, news, discovery and history channels. I love to cook, my forte and favorite type of food is Italian, but love most any food.

I enjoy reading but don't always get around to doing as much of it as I'd like. The last book I finished was Glenn Beck's Arguing With Idiots, and I'm currently reading the 5000 Year Leap and Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid.

Exercising my brain often is a must to me and therefore appreciate someone that I can have an intelligent conversation with, which most certainly would include politics.

I have a bachelor's degree in construction management and did just that for four years after I graduated, got a little bored and am now a regional manager and systems engineer for a defense contractor.

Given my severe lack of opportunity to use them, my fluency is now pretty much non-existent, but I have studied Spanish and Italian. But on the note of languages, I am still a stickler for good grammar!
