Nice guy, looking to make a connection. Yep, I'm a nerd. I play some sports (my favorites are basketball and tennis) and I sometimes like to be out and about doing outdoorsey sorts of things, but my interests are mostly in the realm of geekery. I read fantasy, sci-fi, and comics, and I enjoy RPGs and video games (though not as much with the video games as I used to - just not enough time in the day) and chess. I'm a wannabe novelist, having written several short stories and the first 100 pages of a fantasy trilogy I hope someday to finish. I love movies of all kinds, but half of my all-time favorites are sci-fi/fantasy related. Basically, I love anything imaginative.

(Also of note: My musical tastes are wide ranging, and depending on my mood you can find me listening to anything from classical to the Beatles to Kenny Rogers to edgy alternative rock. I'm an animal lover and have 2 dogs - one a collie, the other a sheltie.)

As far as romance goes, I've only been in one relationship, so I suppose you could say I haven't had much success in that area of my life. I've always been rather shy when it comes to that sort of thing, and my friends say this is probably my biggest obstacle to hurdle if I'm ever going to find a relationship. I usually open up quite a bit with people once I get the chance to really know them though. I have a good sense of humor and I can be fun to be with. I'm caring, considerate, down to earth, and I believe I know how to treat someone right.

What am I looking for? Someone who's funny, attractive, intelligent (or at least curious about the world around us), and compassionate. Someone I can enjoy spending time with, someone I'll miss when she's away. Someone I can have fun with, but also share deep thoughts and feelings with. To sum it up, I'm looking for a long-term relationship. I'm seeking both friendship, and MORE than friendship.
