i'm a writer in los angeles in the mid-wilshire area down for a pretentious art-film at the sunset but i'm more down for a double feature theater hop at the grove, sushi at fat fish (it's not that great, but i like that place), some drinks, and a long walk -- 'cause, y'know, i'm a nerd.

i'm just down to meet a girl right now. i'm not entirely heinous and i have a straight-up adorable defense mechanism where i make people laugh in an effort to push people away that i think you'll enjoy. i guess if i had to categorize myself as a nerd: comic books, 90's cartoons, movies, books, music (becoming a music nerd), weird-ass random presidential trivia, futurama...

hmmm...

i listen to the hold steady a lot. "killer parties" is a happy place song. it's this glorious album epilogue that's my favorite song this year. i also like the national.

fantastic mr. fox is a great film. i love it. holy cow! i wasn't prepared for it. great score by alexandre desplat. i like wes anderson a lot. rushmore's basically my favorite movie. it taught me that it doesn't matter what story you tell but how. rushmore's basically american pie but it's told wicked amazingly. the royal tenenbaums is just as awesome. i liked the life aquatic and the darjeeling limited but fantastic mr. fox is just on another level. you gotta check it out, person reading my profile.
