... how many facets are there now to see?
Meanwhile, with currently 42 years of experience beyond my belt, I finally know what I want (or at least I think so). As prominent self-defining aspects of my personality I would readily mention a craving for rationality and reason; I value a logical and systematic approach to things, and (surely not to anyone's surprise) I am rather not a spontaneous person, but a planner.

The "damaged goods" section": I think honesty and clarity are important issues. I am generally rather shy and introvert, but purposefully try to get once in a while out of my shell. Moreover, I can easily feel unwell in larger groups of people (especially if these are strangers to me); the German Oktoberfest is a prime example for a personal "no-go area".
I am once and again prone to depressed moods (albeit now years long stably off-medication), and I guess I have some autistic traits (although I am not diagnosed accordingly by a medical professional), due to some childhood trauma, which I, naturally, only share with those who earned my unwavering trust.
Alas, I also have recent experience with an abusive, toxic relationship, and I do not care to make this experience ever again in my life.
Nevertheless, these experiences sharpened my awareness for things that really count for me in my life, as well as what I can give others, and what I expect from others towards me.
In every bad a little good, perhaps...
So what do I want? I want to coexist peacefully with others in a tolerant environment, to love, to be loved in return... and maybe this does not have to remain a dream?

In my professional working life, I occupied quite a variety of different positions: I started off as a scientist (biology, PhD) and (shortly) pursued an academic career, held some positions in the service industry, and finally (for now) found my place in the area of personal healthcare / disability assistance after getting re-schooled & trained accordingly.

Of course, a human being in its complexity surely is more than its single parts; but this also should be the section that describes me to all of you (although I guess I gave this section a rather steep tweak), so here are - in short this time - summarized my interests and passions: "typical nerd stuff" like the genres scifi / fantasy / horror in various media (movies and series, novels, graphic novels, roleplaying games, miniature wargames, pc and console video games), tabletop (board) games, larping and activities like escape rooms; but also many outdoor activities (like hiking, biking, mountaineering, go "via ferrata", canyoning, canoeing, camping and travelling). Music I like includes mainly (power & melodic) metal (and if I have to get sh** done - like vacuum cleaning my mancave - loud black / death metal), and some dark wave / gothic pieces; recently, I discovered on the spotify app some interesting playlists with American Dark Country / Southern Gothic music for myself.
