Subethaengineer, 38

I am a physics and math major about to graduate and move on to graduate school for physics. I spend most of the time alone reading or trying to study and be productive. I like to write, but mostly only have the time to scribble down poetry as short stories and novels require a huge time commitment I can't make right now. I generally have zero respect for humanities or social sciences though. Sorry.

I tried to be social and found that this is nearly impossible as I have met no peers I can communicate with on a meaningful level. I am tired of going out and getting drunk just to feel some social contact (also tired of making a fool of myself when wasted...)
Generally I am considered a huge nerd but still have a group of people who know me, though I've been ignoring everyone for some months now.

I love Douglas Adams. I love Star Wars and Star Trek (as well as the X files, though less so). I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and pretty much anything with an involving story. I am quiet, reserved, and thoughtful. Spock is my religion as I try to live by his standards most of the time.


Also, I don't expect much, or anything really, from this web listing except to be able to say to myself that at least I tried.
