Ugh. Internet dating. I never thought I would be roped into this. Alright, here it goes. I am Rod. A 21 year old English Education major at Chico State. I'm going to be a middle school English Teacher in the near future. I am being forced to do this online dating thing by some friends. I come from Redding California, so I traveled far for school. I graduated from both West Valley in 2007 and Shasta College in 2008. My hobbies are the usual stuff for geeky white guys. I play video games, camp, watch movies, hang out with my friends, that kind of thing. In a girl, I am really looking for someone I can spend time just staring at the stars with. Like I said, I am being forced to do this online dating thing. I have been severely jaded by past romantic entanglements, so anything would have to be fairly slow moving. I am a quirky guy. I love to just sit and talk about random crap. My sense of humor is very odd, but it appeals to a certain group. I work summers in Redding at a movie theater, (used to work there full time through High School) so my knowledge of film is pretty good.

Well, it is called Nerd Passions so I suppose I should get into my nerdy side. I have played video games since I was young. Some of my favorites have always been the Final Fantasy series, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, Disgaea and Goldeneye 007. My all time favorite series is the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

I am also a big comic book nerd. This is more of a recent thing for me. I read a few when I was a kid, but never had the patience to invest in them. Since graduating High School I have become a total comicphile.

I am also into a bunch of TV shows, and love watching movies, but between taking and teaching class, I don't have much time for them.

I'm looking for a woman who not only is a nerd herself, but embraces my nerdiness. Someone who doesn't mind spending some Friday nights in gaming on the Playstation 3, watching a movie or going for a walk to see the night sky.
