Fake Web Sites I have to say, the fake, aspirational "I live life to its fullest and like movies, God, travel and ....." stuff is really getting to me. Who doesn't like to a watch a movie now and then? Who doesn't like to travel. There is something wrong with someone who had an advanced degree but makes less than $25,000/year.

I am not a cynical guy, but darn it, I am not going to spend my days pretending to be something I am not. I was married to a pretender for 10 years, someone who deep down hated herself but invested all her time trying to make herself happy and hiding the fact that she wasn't. They key to happiness is honesty. Yes, I am happy most days, but not always. I am a genius but I sometimes feel pretty stupid. I use to write such an eloquent description of myself on these sites--but then every woman would email me and say that I just described them perfectly! Really? OK, I guess I didn't qualify myself well enough. Your passion to read means more than just the Sunday funnies. Your passion to learn means rigorous, academic stuff, not how to knit.

Honestly, I am not a misanthrope, but maybe this kind of ad will attract someone other than the fakes I see on every other web site.
