I love movies, music, intentional community, cooking, eating, and The New Yorker magazine A nerd is someone who at least has a history of being or feeling like a misfit. Also generally someone too smart for her own good, in the sense that her intelligence is one of the reasons she got flak in the past. A nerd is also someone who can be passionate about something -- often something very specialized -- without feeling bad about it. A nerd is someone who will never quite fit in with the "conventional" crowd but has come to terms with that and likes it.
