How's that for a blast from the past? (always been a fan of star trek)

As for me, I'm honestly looking for the girl I'm going to marry someday, not that I expect anything out of the first date or anything. (I tend to save the proposals for the 2nd date at least, propriety and all, :p) Al kidding aside I really am looking to meet that special someone that will join with me for the rest of our lives, but I'm pragmatic and realize that it takes a lot of getting to know a person before you can make that step. Then again, I'm also a hopeless romantic that wears his heart on his sleeve and believes in love at first sight, so go figure.

A little about me:
I'm a guy who's loves include video games, computers, anime, manga, comic books, and reading. My favorite genres are sci fi and fantasy, favorite authors are J.R.R Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Jim Butcher (among others), favorite books currently are 'The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings saga, 'The Chronicles of Narnia series', and 'The Dresden Files'.

Favorite movies tend to be either sci fi, fantasy, or dystopian/zombie related (I'm a huge zombie flick fan, and have been since before it was cool :p),and favorite TV shows are things like Star Trek, The Walking Dead (obviously), lots of sci fi series like Farscape, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, Babylon 5, firefly, etc... (the 90's were the best for sci-fi series) and fantasy stuff too. (you might notice a trend developing)

As for hobbies, when I actually have time(and I don't get sucked into surfing the net) I like to either mes around in the garden or tinker with small gasoline engines (lawnmowers and the like). I tend to be a bit of a handyman at home, and can fix almost anything as long as there's a tutorial available online.
