Writingbug, 42

looking for interesting friends/romance I gave up smoking, tripping, speed, weed and sugar (I'm diabetic.) I drink. My friends call me Mo. I really love brussel sprouts, cookies, mousse and thickshakes. My favourite meal includes hot chips and dumplings (German or Chinese.)

I was born in England and I live in New Zealand. So I have been around the world a few times. My favourite places to visit are Hong Kong, where there's a beach and it's hot and Germany. I want to buy a motorcycle, for now I'm buying a scooter. I'm also keen on taking a cruise at some point.

I enjoy beer or wine or pepsi max with popcorn and a DVD. I enjoy Nintendo and Sega games. My favourite alcohol is Gin or Whiskey, I don't usually cry when I'm drunk. I'm working on a novel, which is three years work and will be finished in March 2013. I'm also working on an animated film, drawing it mostly myself. I'm also writing the script. I have a degree in screenwriting.

I have an occasional job doing a website for a school. I plan to get into tutoring (literacy, computer science) for a day job. I also have experience producing short (live action) movies on a zero budget.

A few movies to give you an idea of my life: Dazed and Confused, Spun, Loaded, Groove, Leaving Las Vegas - but not as glam. I have been developing my novel writing since 1995 (I was thirteen) when I was introduced to Magic: the Gathering (the trading card game) by a friend and I also discovered Stephen King and the game Warzone: Mutant Chronicles with il----rations by Paul Bonner that inspired my first manuscript - 500 pages.

Religiously I would say that I believe in God but I probably have too much doubt to get into heaven. I feel like heaven is probably more of a promise that life will continue even though bodies die. That the energy will be redistributed, even if individual human identity may dissipate. But hopefully the combined knowledge of our species will be preserved. Knowledge must survive, else what's the point?
