I’m just a normal (?) man (whatever that means). I’m about 5’11” and weigh about 160-165 pounds. I have blue eyes and salt-and-pepper hair, and I’m 55 years old. I don’t smoke (anything!) and rarely drink. I have an unusual (some might say bizzare) sense of humor. I enjoy classic music (and that does not necessarily mean “classical music only”) and good movies. I am a science fiction fan (especially speculative history [i.e. what would have happened if…?], STAR TREK, BABYLON 5, DOCTOR WHO) and a die-hard Disney fan. My favorite vacation destination is Walt Disney World in Orlando. I also enjoy other theme parks, especially the “thrill rides.” I am a voracious reader. (In fact, I have been accused of reading the telephone book if nothing else is available.) I consider myself to be an incurable romantic. (Yes, I *do* cry at movies or TV programs that touch my heart. I hope you do, too.) And above all, I strongly believe that if I refuse to grow old, I can stay young until the day I die, a belief that seems to run in my family. (Did someone say “Peter Pan”?)

OK, what am I searching for? First of all, I am looking for a friendship that can grow into something more. I would prefer that you be someone around my age or younger, with at least a few common interests. You should be able to hold up your end of an intelligent conversation, whether you are agreeing with my viewpoint or disagreeing. You should be interested in something more than just a quick tumble and fare-thee-well. If things work out, you should be willing to make an honest Commitment. (Oh, that word! But if it scares you off, we probably would not have worked out together anyway.) It would be nice if you are reasonably close, as long-distance relationships are quite difficult to maintain. As far as those pesky physical statistics, I tend to be attracted to men with a slim-to-average build.
