I'm pretty much nerdtastic with my other interests. I'm a moderate sci-fi nerd, in that I enjoy Star Trek TNG and Firefly, and I'm also a movie nerd since I've worked on various productions (none of which have seen the light of day, of course).
As stated above, my main interest is music, which is where the most of my nerdiness lies (just sound/audio in general). I've been known to go through listening phases of 80s new wave, classical, Britpop, metal, house/trance, industrial, etc. etc. I appreciate all music, but not all music is my favorite. I also swoon (yes, swoon) over great video game soundtracks. I also play guitar (by myself or with others... I used to be in a band) and record music, a lot of which has gone unfinished and would make good ringtones.
I enjoy a good psychological thriller every once in a while. A good mindf... uh... mindfreak movie. My favorites there include Inception, Vanilla Sky, Memento, The Matrix, etc. Same with TV. Things like Breaking Bad, Death Note, Star Trek TNG.
I think of things in a different way than most people would, which means what I have to say may take some understanding, but once you get it, you will know what I mean. From that fact stems my entire personality. I'm pretty outgoing and fun, but I will admit, sometimes I need someone else to start a conversation. I have a history of awkwardness, I'm not afraid to say, but I'm happy if someone can see things the same way I do and understand them.
I'm looking for someone who also has some common sense and education about them. I try to learn something new every day in order to culture myself. If you're not open to that... move on. If you think my topics are unimportant enough to interrupt... move on.
