Paradoxes

I'm interested in knowing what peoples favorite paradoxes are.

Here's mine:

you are the principal at a high school. one day a student whoes been good up untill then commits an act of vandalisim. when you ask him why he did it he says he's tired of being a goody-two-shoes and wants to have a little fun. how do you punish him? If you choose to punish him, you would actually be giving him exactlly what he wants. but if you don't, you'll teach him that he's above the law and he's garenteed to break anouther rule.

Why not make him clean up his own mess?

`First of all, that's not a paradox. A paradox is two things that can't exist together existing together. So a paradox defines itself. However a good solution to your problem would be to anonymously vandalize the kid's property. The kid realizes how stupid and selfish it is and either retaliates in which case it becomes necessary to teach him a harsher lesson or he reforms.
