Uhhh... hi... I just joined this thing so im not sure if people still use it BUT...
I was thinking right, is it ok to have a relationship over the internet?
Is it even a real relationship?
Does it matter if the reason you're looking isnt for sex?
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

`There's still people on...lots of ghost profiles though.
I think a balance has to be reached w/ internet dating. Relationships technically need physical contact, but that's not always possible. I also think you can just look for friends - alot of people who're looking for friends have moved, were in the army, or are just looking for kindred spirits(to possibly play with in the next mmorpg).
On the flip side, I remember watching a show, and the host said something to the effect of 'Having online relationships/sex is cheating/being unfaithful

The first thing to think about is the fact that the Internet and cellphones has become a fundamental part of everyones lives. I mean how people do you know that has the phones always on them (or for that matter the only thing used instead of a home phone). Or has breaks to check something online. Really it is becoming a part of everyone that just spreads out the area of contacts. they are usually a bit harder just because of the long distance issue, but it is possible.
Das Leben auf Erden ist ein gemeiner Krieg; wir spielen; wir Kämpfen; wir setzen alles auf Sieg; Hurra - wir leben noch; Wer hätte das gedacht...

Lol, sorry, I COMPLETELY forgot where I heard that. It might've been Divorce Court or another daytime talk show. I just remember the topic was whether being engaged w/ someone else se---lly online was cheating because(going to paraphrase, been a while since I've seen it) you're mentally being unfaithful and looking to others.

`I'm not sure what you mean by internet relationship. Are we talking two people who have never met but claim to be in a relationship online? Are we talking long distance relationships where the internet becomes an integral part of communication? I think there is a slight difference between the two. I would also argue that the first, can be questionable while the second can be legit.
