A nerds natural enemies?

Hey everybody!

I´m Edi, writing from Munich, Germany. I´m joining the local comic-club here, wich is publishing some free-comics each year. The topic for the next issue is "NERD"!

I just started brainstorming, and doin some sketches for fun when all of a sudden "she-nerd" was lookin at me from the paper, raising her fist, shouting something like "juice boxes!!!!"- I don´t know why yet...
The thing is, I really like this little character, and I wanna give it a story.
She is designed to be a nerdy female superhero. She´s not sexy, not even pretty and she looks like she really isn´t easy. (That´s what´s so exciting to me right now. Of course there are some male heroes who are far from "looking good" and have some disgusting habits, and you still follow them through their story and finally like them. But girls??? Do you know any female characters like that? - if you do, please let me know, I´m really curious!)
So far so good...
A hero needs a villain, right? As mine will be fighting for nerd-concerns, I´m looking for possible nerd-enemies here I guess...
I was thinking of the typical school-setting first, where there are the clothes- and sports-related kids (is there a term comparable to `nerd`for them too? In german there´s none...mmhh) pick on the nerdy kids, but that appears to simple to me, and has been sufficiently told already.
So who could be a more challenging opponent for my unborn sister?
Maybe an evil normalo tries to steal the extraordinary knowledge out of the nerd´s brains... or a drug is turning them into cool-kid-zombies...

I don´t know...maybe more simple. I won´t have more than 2-4 pages, and at first I want to introduce the character a little. A little!

Do you have any ideas? Suggestions? Memories? Fantasies?

`Sports related kids? You probably mean jocks. Trendy/fashionista would be for clothes lovers. It's hard for a female not to be attractive in that industry though, lol - one artist was quoted as saying 'I don't know how draw her with small b--bs' or something. Out of recent memory, bad habit female would probably be Mary Shepard from In Plain Sight on the USA channel(Not sure if it's any different in Germany). Interesting idea though.

NP, it's a great series - really waiting for the next season to start. Most of USA's stuff is good, tho.

Well, those three guys are a lot of nerds' enemies. A lot of us nerds like to rant about how people (or aliens) like them ruin movies. Lotta trekies didn't like the newest Star Trek. Maybe you could have an evil director that ruins stories. Of course, that's not really high school related. Maybe he can be much later on in the series :)

This isn't going to stop nerds from crushing on her, and starting disturbingly obsessive fan-sites.

` I wonder if it's worth commenting since this post is from a while back... As a Nerdy girl my worst enemies are other girls that encroach on my Guy Nerd circles... But in GENERAL my enemies are other women: Hot-Pretty Females that dress provocatively and can be ----ty. Most women say this could be an issue just in general but when your trying to find a guy its really hard. I have acne which brings my self esteem way down so to a have a pretty girl with great skin kills it for me.

I would create a Group of hot girls that when in the picture take over the situation and ruin what ever your heroin was doing and steal her glory... I would create a devil angel set that do what they do best and get in her head and mess with it. Maybe a enemy that gives her acne, frizzy hair and food in her teeth. Lol maybe a hot sister that always out does her in her "home" life. And there could be that hot guy that teases her and gives her attention spends time with her, has her help him with intense battles she his go to girl but he friendzones her. So many small character ideas. Hopefully you like something or this helps with creating the overall picture...

`I can't speak for female nerds, but I know for the adult male nerd the most horrible enemy in the world is the middle manager at your tech job...god I hate that guy.

`I really like this idea for a comic. The school setting gives you a chance to explore some good villians. Like other posters said, hot girls ruining things for her, jocks, gym teacher, etc. Hey I note this was over a year ago now, but show us some if you ended up going further with it!

`My worst enemy back in highschool was homework or other job related issue bc it took away free... so mabe you can make a character such as a club owner trying to make her work and some stupid part time job that makes her work over time
