Most of the female nerd/gamers I run into are all involved, no surprise. Is anyone attracted enough or had the balls to have actually physically gone out with one? And yes, this is a pathetic question coming from a pathetic cowardly nerd guy, but who's counting? For that matter, who's even at this forum? No one? ...

`Once, but he decided he did not want commitment so it ended as I kinda want to meet someone one day that wants long term. Every bloke since then has not been a nerd/geek. Now I'm wanting someone better matched to myself which means being honest and staying away from those that I have nothing really in common with.

I'm kinda hoping to get to the point where I can meet anyone off the street and go out on some real dates. A lot of people online are too scared s---less to do anything for real, so there's hardly a point to searching here. Social anxiety takes a long time to hack through, but I'm getting there. Most of it is just replacing "I can't" with "I can" in my mind. I would love to meet a nerdy girl, but maybe there's someone else who's more perfect for me not specifically in that area. Wait, is this forum about nerd dating or nerd mental problems? I think I might have it mixed up ...

`Well, I actually ended up here, because I'd never could imagine me dating a non-nerd. It's what I'm attracted to and find most rewarding in the daily life. Imagine me, together with a guy who didn't prefer LOTR extended version? Not going to happen But, alas, the geeks are in hiding, and I'm having a hard time finding them!

`well dating a nerd girl is pretty awesome. It is so much better to be able to go play a game of magic or play a video game then go outside into the sun and do stuff. bonus when she asks you to go shopping with her it is probably to a comic shop or gamestop

`I can't date a non nerd. I have dated a few nerd girls they are awesome. I go to nerd events or the game store or join a nerdy club and strike up a conversation with girls in my opinion it's the easiest to get to know girls who are nerdy and who knows you might get lucky.
