I'm just wondering if anyone else out there loves "The Sandman" series as much as I do. And if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. I love how the initial storyline becomes interconnected with dozens of other storylines, but yet they can all stay seperated. Gaiman is a genius.

yeah, i love it. he has obviously put in a lot of effort into setting up the mythology behind it, and is very knowledgable about the pantheons. but as he said in interviews some of his earliest memories are reading myths and ledgend stories. have you read any of the stories he has done?
I also like the way dc gave him free reign over some of their old characters to weave into the stories. like the old sandman hero, Etrigan etc.

I'm currently working on reading the entire series of graphic novels but thus so far I really enjoy the stories (I'm a sucker for a good story). I can't wait to try and meet Mr. Gaiman @ comic con this year! : )

`Sandman is probably the best graphic novel series I've ever read. Gaiman's clearly a genius. I'm done with Sandman now, I'm in the middle of the Mike Carey's Lucifer books (up to 5. I need more money), but probably the greatest moment in that universe for me is the whole of Season of Mists. The way that Gaiman finds a way for all of these conflicting deities to co-exist in the same universe/multiverse is just incredible.

`Awesome comic book but I wish he continued a series where Daniel is the Sandman, just so we know how he handles things and whether his point of view is better than Morpheus.

`Gaiman is an amazing writer all around. I started with his Death minis, ended up reading the whole Sandman series, and just recently finished his novel, American Gods. If you've yet to try his prose writing, that's a great start.

`I love The Sandman! I'm a huge fan of all of Neil Gaiman's work. Which story arc is your favourite?

Lucifer by Mike Carey is a spin off of Sandman following Lucifer's journey during and after the Sandman Series, if you haven't read it I highly recommend it. Even though it is not written by Neil Gaiman it got his blessing and definitely feels part of the universe. As far as the series itself it is hard to pin down what issues or part I loved the best, even when he diverged from the story to tell short side ones they where so good it was not only forgivable but also enjoyable.
