So, it's obvious our country is having some issues right now, along with most of the rest of the world. I'm kind of surprised with all the nerds on here, more people aren't discussing politics, considering the fact that half the people on here could do a better job than most people currently running some portion of our government.

I'm not starting this thread to discuss which political party should be in control, who's better, or start arguing about petty political crap. I'm just curious as to what "normal" people have to say about what they believe our problems are, what they would do to fix them or perhaps you believe we suck and let's hope 2012 is the end of us. Whatever your opinion may be, I'm curious and yes I realize I'm being a bit vague

I have a feeling this post will either end up starting arguments or it'll just sit here for years, unanswered by anyone. Thanks in advance if anyone does reply

Personally it boils down to there are too many stupid people in office. (Ironically this does reflect a majority of the population at large). But we need intelligent people and to hold them to what they say or promise. If they aren't doing or atleast trying to do what they campaign then get them out of there. But mostly it is up to us, Think about what our politicians are saying.

To conclude any problems we are having are because our politicians aren't representing our best needs.

`I feel like the government has purposely segregated themselves from the American people as it is state to state. Our Constitution that our founding fathers worked so hard to make seems to dissolve to dust more and more everyday. Lies and deception from the @ssh*les that run this country. Our problem is the lack of communication between the people. We the People (I feel) need to come together and make some positive change.. :D

One major problem here is government spending. The more social programs they institute, the more they spend. And we all know where the money comes from. Tax payers. Here's my theory on not getting further in debt. Cut spending. Cut taxes. People will have more money to spend, and hopefully that will actually stimulate the economy. Folks will actually be able to afford their mortgage.

`Well, I didn't ask to be in this world, but I'm here, so I'm going to make the best of it. Hopefully I(and similar minded people) will show acting right isn't half bad.

Find somebody with enough stones to tell all the special interest groups off, knock the out of control giant corporations down a notch and throw the bums who want to distract everybody with near constant moral panics out. Somebody focused on jobs and economic growth. Somebody willing to do something about instituting some tarif protections or penalties for outsourcing in order to protect local growth.
