.I've only had a few of those, although mine was "Mr. Mom". Yup, she was a country fan, and that was the song I remember playing the last night we were together. Good things it's not a popular song nowadays. |

`The one song that just rips my heart to shreds, was Incubus' "Stellar."
I was a huge fan of the band when I was younger, and I always said that the woman or "the one" I end up with, that would be our song. Years later I meet my ex, we bond over Guitar Hero and that song becomes "our song."
Sucks man, cause I really did like that song.
On the plus side, I get to give up Hoobastank's "The Reason." I hate modern rock ballads.

I remember doing much the same thing when I was at Al-Asad, but I was just having a bad day...

Oh man, there are so many great breakup/broken heart songs. For a woman scorned there's nothing better than Alanis' "You Outta Know" but the one that always gets me (as dorky as it is) is "It Must Have Been Love" by Roxette. KILLS ME.
Also "Wonderwall" by Oasis. Beautiful song. That was "our song" with my last ex. I hate that it was our song because I can't listen to it anymore and I love it so. Oh well. Such is life.

`A song that I love, though it's not about breaking up, but being torn apart....I have no personal connection to the song, but the story is quite sad......."Last Kiss" by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers. There's also a version by Pearl Jam and a spanish version that I've never heard.....

`I'll listen to Dashboard Confessional's album "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most" on repeat and scream along with it when I'm feeling really bad about my breakup, especially the song "Screaming Infidelities", but the song that I absolutely cannot listen too without breaking down is The Moldy Peaches' "Anyone Else But You." It KILLS me!

`I thought about it and mine would have to be "My Bride has Gone" by Unheilig
though "Leider" by Eisbrecher does it too. Just because I understand what the singer is doing. (if you don't know the song it is a about pain being the only thing he can feel and ritualistly cuts himself)

I am interested in healing, not in hurting myself.
Beethoven is excellent in this regard. :)
