Hello,
I am running into an interesting situation, though I am nerdy, I am never more than a friend to other nerdy guys.
I have noticed my nerd guy friends usually like brunettes and usually like brown eyes.
I have come up with a few ideas but of course I don't know if I am right.
So I thought I would ask some guys in this forum. If you like brunettes, do you know why? I was wondering if it was because a lot of heroines in the movies that are admirable are brunette. Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman. In Star Wars - trilogies, both heroines were brunettes.
On the other hand a lot of blondes in the media and in movies are portrayed as ditzy, superficial, ----ty, and or mean.
Do you think a woman with dark blond hair and blue eyes is automatically a "blonde" and therefore not as desirable as the brunettes who are often sweet, strong, complex, etc.?
If a woman with blonde looks wanted to get the interest of shy introverted, sci-fi nerds, should she dye her hair and buy brown colored contracts? Or would a guy get super angry and think she was a phony and dislike blonde women even more?
Interested in people's thoughts here. I am kind of sad that I can't meet the man of my dreams, and it may only be because the dark almost black hair I was born with lightened all the way to dark blonde and my eyes are blue.
(p.s. I am 41 so I was around during the time of Princess Di's celebrity, for a short period of time, the British bump on my nose and my lighter hair was admired - also years before that - when Alfred Hitchcock's "blondes" were featured in his movies, they were often portrayed as intelligent, strong but feminine characters. Does anyone who normally doesn't like blondes make an exception when watching, North by Northwest, To Catch a Thief, or other movies like Casablanca?)
thanks again

` I dunno about all of us liking brunettes, it may just be a coincidences. I thought that all the guys I knew were into blondes actually.
To answer the question pose forth by the title. For me I look for someone smart, that I can have intelligent conversations with. Some would I can be deep with and can be deep back. Someone that is funny and well has the same obscure humor as me.
I know I ignored the questions you asked, but I didn't know how to answer those.

Maybe it's regional then - I notice you are from the Southwest - I am from the Northwest. Maybe nerdy men here have a voting block and choose brunettes???? interesting thought - I wonder if the government would give me a Million dollar grant to study this...hmmmm?

`I prefer brunettes for some reason. Although I've always found blondes intruiging. Most of my friends prefer blondes, I dunno. You could conduct a survey of your school or workplace.
