My two favorites are Billy Connelly and Jimmy Car. Now, if you don't like vulgar and disgusting, avoid Jimmy Car. Billy Connelly is old school vulgar, in that mainly he just swears. Both are hilarious.

`I just saw Daniel Tosh on Saturday! He was amazing. And no, not just because he has a TV show. Zach Galifianakis doing stand-up I think is better than he is in films. He's pretty awesome on Bored to Death too.
But my all time favorite comedian would have to be George Carlin. I wish he was still around :(

`Where to begin? I love stand-up. Jon Stewart is probably the best comedian I know of, but I also have a strong fondness for Louis C.K. I've been following Michael Ian Black lately on twitter and he tweets something hilarious like every hour, which is ranking him higher and higher for me. Um...Zack Galifianakis because he's adorable, Demetri Martin because he's creative, John Oliver because he's so good at selling me on his British news rants. I just gave Bill Burr a good chance today and realized he's hilarious, and I could never get tired of John Caparulo's redneck munchkin voice.
I have always wanted to see a good comedy show live, but I live in Alabama and no one will come here because some jackass always shouts something like, "Do a joke about Auburn football!" and then everyone's attention span drops. I am passionate about comedy, though.
