I'm no pretender, I was playing pc games back in the 90's when I was a kid! I prefer fps games, but the odd rts is also nice. I fix, upgrade and built my own pc, with the occasional bit of help from google.
When it comes to lotr, I know a lot about Hobbits, my 17th birthday cake was the One ring and yes I have a legit and expensive silver version of the ring, which I know the location of at all times.
In anime, I like romantic comedies and random stuff that makes very little or no sense to most people, such as Puni Puni Poemy, Excel Saga, Love Hina, Ranma 1/2, etc. If I want to see an anime with robots and action, I'll watch Evangelion.
When I was a teenager, I invented my own fantasy world, which I made maps, family tree's and even a whole new language for.
