Mech Eng Geek, and proud of it. As mentioned before, I'm a Mechanical Engineer. I have a wry and snarky sense of humor and am not afraid to speak my mind. Most of my life growing up, my friends have been guys, so while I do do some girly stuff, I'm more "one of the guys" than most. Heck, I have more power tools than my father does. I am quite self-sufficient, but I'm frankly tired of most of my human contact being at work, where noone's even close to my age, on WoW, my parents, and my one friend I have here in Texas.

What I'm looking for initially is just someone fun and nice to hang out with. I geek out quite a bit on things varying from WoW to D&D to sci-fi shows to Anime to Marvel comics to Doctor Who. I'd be satisfied with someone who doesn't mind it, but would much prefer that they can share in the geek out. Relationship-wise, I'd like someone who doesn't mind moving slow and getting to know each other first. I know I've been burned in the past, and somehow I don't doubt most people on this site have too.
I do own a dog, so I guess that's a factor.
I've never really done anything like this before, so...I honestly don't know what I really should put here.
